BDS3000 Electronic Dual Differential Pressure Switch - Hydraulic Oil Filter Monitoring

More Safety for Hydraulic Oil Filter Monitoring

The pressure regulation of the hydraulic oil filter in planetary gearboxes ensures that the lubricant flows through the system with stable and sufficient pressure. A pressure control valve maintains the required system pressure, while a bypass valve protects the filter from overpressure in case it becomes clogged. This controlled pressure guarantees reliable lubrication of gears and bearings, supports heat dissipation, prevents wear, and ensures safe gearbox operation even under varying loads and temperatures.

To monitor the defined pressure within the system, pressure switches or differential pressure switches are often used. Compared to pressure switches, differential pressure switches reduce the number of required devices as well as the number of signals that need to be transferred to the PLC. This enables quick detection of disturbances or deviations and identifies where they occur.

The BDS3000 from Barksdale is now equipped with new flange versions to cover additional application areas. It is BV certified and features an IO-Link interface.
